City council meets on ‘personnel matter’, no announcement made

City council held a special closed session Monday evening to discuss an undisclosed “personnel matter.”

The session adjourned after two hours of closed deliberation. Details of any decision reached were not released to the public.

In late July, council held a closed session in which it placed city manager Ann Mitchell on a temporary paid leave of absence. The only item on the agenda for that meeting was a “personnel matter.”

City officials did not confirm whether Monday’s session was regarding Mitchell.
