For those who would prefer to spend time in nature later in the day, the Medicine Hat Interpretive Program is offering an after-hours nature walk.

“Everyone has nightly routines that help them prepare for the next day, but what do plants and animals do after hours? Come down to Police Point Park for a free evening nature walk with an interpreter to learn more,” park interpreter Erika Derman said in a release.

The walk will take place Oct. 1 from 7-8 p.m. Participants will learn about how darkness is just as important for plants and animals as light, and the biological clocks that respond to these changes.

While there is no charge associated with this program, those interested are asked to register by calling 403-529-6225.
