The Medicine Hat Tigers roster, like all Western Hockey League clubs, has been built through multiple methods.
Whether players were acquired in trades, free-agent signings, the WHL Prospects and U.S. Draft or the CHL Import, they all have made it to the same level of junior hockey.
Here is how the Tigers’ 2025-26 roster was built.
CHL Import Draft
Niilopekka Muhonen (D, 19, Kuopio, Finland) was taken 47th overall by the Tigers in the 2024 Import draft.
Veeti Väisänen (D, 19, Hamina, Finland) was taken 107th overall by the Tigers in the 2024 Import draft.
Yaroslav Bryzgalov (F, 18, Minsk, Belarus) was taken 60th overall by the Tigers in the 2026 Import draft.
Trade
Bryce Pickford (D, 19, Chauvin, Alta.) was acquired by the Tigers in a trade with the Seattle Thunderbirds on May 9.
Jonas Woo (D, 18, Winnipeg, Man.) was acquired by the Tigers in a trade with the Wenatchee Wild on May 9.
Ethan Neutens (F, 20, Cochrane, Alta.) was acquired from the Kelowna Rockets on Nov. 14, 2024.
Misha Volotovskii (F, 20, Calgary, Alta.) was acquired from the Saskatoon Blades on Jan. 6.
Cruz Chase (G, 18, Airdrie, Alta.) was acquired by the Tigers in a trade with the Regina Pats on Jan. 8.
Max Sullivan (F, 19, Calgary, Alta.) was acquired by the Tigers in a trade with the Kamloops Blazers on Sept. 16.
Free Agency
Carter Cunningham (F, 19, Lethbridge, Alta.), signed with the Tigers on Oct. 24, 2024.
Tyson Moss (D, 18, Port Moody, B.C.), signed with the Tigers on Dec. 10, 2024.
Carter Casey (G, 17, Grand Rapids, Minn.), signed with the Tigers on June 24.
Kade Stengrim (F, 18, Brainerd, Minn.), signed with the Tigers on June 26.
Gavin Kor (F, 18, Rochester, Minn.), signed with the Tigers on July 2.
Dayton Reschny (F, 19, Macklin, Sask.), is unsigned via press time but remains on Tigers’ roster.
Dub Eunice III (F, 17, Eagle River, Alaska), is unsigned via press time but remains on Tigers’ roster.
WHL Prospects Draft
A majority of the Tigers roster was acquired through the WHL draft.
