Medical event cause of accident along Dunmore Road

Medicine Hat police say an 80-year-old male was transported to hospital for treatment after suffering a medical event which caused his vehicle to hit two other vehicles before hitting a building.

On Tuesday night at 8:30 p.m. emergency crews responded to the scene of a collision in the 3300 block on Dunmore Road after an SUV travelling southbound lost control and collided with two vehicles travelling northbound before driving into the front of a building.

Officers say the building was significantly damaged by the collision.

First responders were able to extricate the man who was rushed to hospital for treatment of his injuries.
