Med Hat Lawn Bowling crowns league champions

The Medicine Hat Lawn Bowling Club crowned their singles league champions on Monday.

The local lawn bowling club wrapped up their competes singles leagues with the men’s and ladies’ finals.

Men’s Division

On the men’s side, three-time runner-up Mike Gilchrist broke through to win his first men’s championship.

He finished first in the round robin, receiving a bye to the final with a close match against Denis Ethier.

Gilchrist took first place with an 8-7 win.

Ethier entered the final as the third seed, beating Doug Sanregret 13-9 to earn his spot in the final.

Sanregret took third.

Ladies Division

On the ladies’ side, Barb Moll captured her second ladies championship in four years with a 9-7 win over Yvonne Sanregret.

Yvonne had to defeat Shirley Richards the week prior to earth her spot in the final, giving Richards the bronze.
