MHIP offering free public event to explore local ponds

The Medicine Hat Interpretive Program is hosting a free public program inviting residents to explore the ponds of Medicine Hat. Ponds are an essential and underappreciated part of the local watershed.

“Exploring Our Ponds” will be held at Connaught Pond on Sept. 20. Participants will discover the flora and fauna that call ponds home, and learn about the challenges that face them.

The event is free of charge but requires registration in advance. Registration is available at the Nature Centre, or by phone at 403-529-6225.
