LDS Church hosting annual clothing drive, donations and volunteers welcome

The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints in Medicine Hat is hosting a clothing drive next weekend, keeping an annual tradition alive.

The event will collect gently used articles of clothing of all styles and sizes from members of the community on Sept. 12 from 5-8 p.m. at the church, located at 7 Sierra Blvd. Organizers ask that donations be sorted and labelled according to gender and size. Clothing, accessories, gently used toys, children’s books and children’s winter gear will be accepted.

The following day in the same location, running from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m., members of the community can come peruse donated items to shop and update their wardrobes free of charge.

Everyone is welcome to participate, be it as a shopper, donor or volunteer. Those potentially interested in volunteering or who have questions are encouraged to call 403-979-2511, or 403-866-6991.
