Main doors at library to close temporarily for HVAC repairs

With vital work on the HVAC system in the Medicine Hat Public Library being done, the main entrance will be closed starting Tuesday.

While workers remove a portion of the heat coiling unit, the main doors will be unavailable to the public, though visitors will still be able to access the library through the lower-level door on River Road.

For those who may struggle with the stairs, library staff will try to reserve parking spaces in the front on River Road. Those in need of this are asked to call ahead with the time they plan to visit so they can try to ensure there will be space.

Others who cannot use the lower entrance can also utilize a curbside pickup for their holds outdoor book return. Any patrons with specific hold requests are asked to call the main information desk number and speak to a staff member.

The main parking lot for the library will remain open during this time.
