newsdesk@medicinehatnews.com The Medicine Hat Police Service is asking anyone who witnessed a serious head-on collision between two vehicles on Thursday morning to reach out and speak to a member of the Traffic Unit. The collision occurred shortly after 10:15 a.m. Thursday in the 1400 block of Trans-Canada Way, according to the police. Both drivers were transported to hospital with serious but non-life-threatening injuries. Thursday morning police advised motorists that first responders were attending to victims on scene and to avoid the area if possible. The road was closed for several hours as emergency vehicles cleared the scene, police reported the road was opened back up to traffic around 3:15 p.m. The collision remains under investigation and any witnesses who have not yet spoken to police are asked to call 403-529-8481 to speak with a member of the Traffic Unit. 8
