Local senior faces several child porn and voyeurism charges

Roy Jebson, 76, from Medicine Hat, has been charged with three counts of voyeurism as well as several charges related to making, possessing and accessing child pornography.

Police say their Major Crime Unit concluded an investigation that led to the charges against Jebson after they received a report from a female complainant who believed she was recorded without clothes in a private area in an acquaintance’s residence.

Officers conducted a thorough investigation which involved the execution of several search warrants and the forensic examination of electronic devices.

Investigators say this search led to the discovery of evidence substantiating the original complaint and also led to uncovering additional offences.

Jebsen was held for an interim judicial release hearing and has been released on conditions. Jebsen is scheduled to appear before court on Aug. 13.
