JOYCE STRACHAN November 25, 1928 ~ July 28, 2025
Joyce Lillian Strachan, beloved wife of the late Bob Strachan, passe away peacefully at her home in Medicine Hat on Monday, July 28, 2025, at the age of 96 years.
Her memory will be forever cherished in the hearts of her three children and their families: Donna (Bruce) Rieger and their children, Heather (Rick) Bach (Madison (Carson), Shelby (Nick) and Kailey); Brian† (Jennifer) (Brody and Georgia); Barbara† (Tom) Rieger and their children, Cole and Joshua; Bill (Kelly) Strachan and their children, Justin (Vicki) (Andreas, Sophia and Kadence); Cody (Kirsten) (Taylor and Ozman); Chris (Amanda) (Katelyn, Merek and Briar); Jeremy (Trina) (Addison, Vanessa and Everett); Brett (Jill) as well as numerous nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her husband, Bob; daughter, Barbara; grandson, Brian; parents, William and Kate as well as six siblings.
Joyce lived a full and active life, always on the go and surrounded by friends. In her earlier years, she was an avid bowler and curler and could often be found on the lanes or the ice, enjoying both the competition and the camaraderie. Joyce also loved playing bridge and was always ready for a good game filled with laughter and friendly banter. She spent many years working with the Canadian Cancer Society, a role that reflected her caring and giving nature. Joyce’s voice brought joy to those who heard her sing. Those who knew Joyce will remember her warmth, infectious smile and her ability to make everyone feel welcome. She was truly one of a kind.
