Support circle for caregivers planned this morning

A local group that offers mental health support to people who care for others is hosting a “Circle of Support” this morning from 10-11 a.m. at Lions Park.

Caregiver Connections Medicine Hat is inviting local caregivers to gather for the support circle that will offer emotional support and connections with other caregivers who often carry a burden such as health and sleep problems, among others.

“You don’t have to carry it all alone,” reads promotional material for the event. “In this circle, you’re not just a caregiver, you’re part of a community that cares for you.”

The hour-long support circle is also held in partnership with Caregiver Connection, Medicine Hat Family Services and the Canadian Mental Health Association.
