Five flapjack-flippin’ free breakfasts announced during Stampede

There will be five opportunities to stack your plates and let the maple syrup flow as the Medicine Hat Exhibition & Stampede released its free pancake breakfast schedule on Monday.

Annually thousands of flapjacks and sausages are served up in the Hat during the traditional pancake breakfasts that often involve live music and dancing as hungry cowboys and cowgirls line the streets.

Volunteers will be firing up the grills beginning Saturday, July 19 as the first pancake breakfast is planned at Homestead Market from 8-11 a.m. Homestead Market is located on Highway near the airport.

On Monday, July 21 Medicine Hat College will be hosting a breakfast on its campus from 8-10 a.m.

Tuesday, July 22, Hillcrest Church will host a free pancake breakfast from 7-10 a.m.

Medicine Hat Lodge will play host as usual to a breakfast, with its parking lot ready to fill Wednesday, July 23, the official start to Stampede week, from 7-10 a.m.

Finally, South Country Co-op on 13th Avenue SE will host a pancake breakfast in the parking lot on Friday, July 25 from 7-10 a.m.
