The Great Big Paddle hits the waters today

Medicine Hat Tourism reminds paddlers, both experienced and aspiring, to prepare for the Great Big Paddle today on the South Saskatchewan.

The Alberta Whitewater Association and Medicine Hat Paddling Club are putting on this free event for the public, which will consist of a paddling run along the river from Echodale Launch to Strathcona Park.

This event is open to the public and all levels of paddling experience for the hours of floating time, but all participants must supply their own equipment, including a life jacket. Medicine Hat Tourism recommends filling out the associated AWA waiver prior to arrival at albertawhitewater.ca to get on the water faster.

The event will begin at noon at the Echodale Launch.
