Alberta Marlin Aquatic Club sends eight swimmers to meet in Lethbridge

The Alberta Marlin Aquatic Club raced at the Swim Alberta Summer Festivals this weekend.

The local swim club sent eight swimmers to the meet in Lethbridge to race against 30 other teams.

Rixtonn Biffart (10): Had 11 new best times, finishing first in 200m freestyle South VS North Relay team, second in 50m back prelim and 50m back final, fourth in 50m free prelim, 50m free final and 100m IM final, fifth in 50m breast prelim, sixth in 50m fly final, 100m free prelim and 100m IM prelim, seventh in 50m fly prelim, eighth in 50m breast final , 100m free final and 200m free RELAY, 14th in 200m medley RELAY and 17th in 400m free timed final.

Dain Burnell (12): Had eight new best times, finishing 14th in 200m medley RELAY, 17th in 50m free prelim, 18th in 50m back prelim, 100m back prelim, 200m free RELAY and 200m back timed final, 24th in 100m IM prelim and 28th in 50m fly prelim, 100m free prelim and 400m free timed final.

Isabela Josey (11): Had two new best times, finishing fourth in 50m breast prelim, 11th in 100m IM prelim, 17th in 200m breast timed final, 22nd in 200m free RELAY, 35th in 50m free prelim and 40th in 400m free timed final.

Campbell Kletzel (10): Had one new best time, finishing 20th in 50m breast prelim, 21st in 100m breast prelim, 22nd in 200m free RELAY, 26th in 50m fly prelim and 100m free prelim, 31st in 50m free prelim, 34th in 100m IM prelim and 47th in 200m breast timed final.

Olivia Liebenberg (12): Had eight new best times, finishing fourth in 100m free prelim and 100m free final, fifth in 200m free timed final, sixth in 400m free timed final, 14th in 100m IM prelim, 15th in 200m IM timed final, 17th in 50m free prelim, 22nd in 200m free RELAY, 24th in 50m fly prelim and 25th in 200m back timed final.

Caleb Martin (10): Had four new best times, finishing 14th in 200m medley RELAY, 15th in 100m free prelim, 18th in 200m free RELAY, 21st in 50m breast prelim, 22nd in 50m back prelim, 27th in 50m fly prelim, 30th in 100m IM prelim, 35th in 400m free timed final and 62nd in 200m back timed final.

Ryes Pattison (11): Had five new best times, finishing 14th in 200m medley RELAY, 17th in 100m breast prelim, 18th in 50m breast prelim and 200m free RELAY, 22nd in 100m fly prelim, 25th in 200m breast timed final, 27th in 200m IM timed final, 43rd in 100m IM prelim, 51st in 50m fly prelim and 66th in 200m back timed final.

Marsha Van Der Merwe (10): Had three new best times, finishing seventh in 100m fly final, eighth in 100m fly prelim, 14th in 100m free prelim, 16th in 100m breast prelim, 17th in 100m IM prelim, 18th in 50m breast prelim, 22nd in 200m free RELAY, 24th in 50m fly prelim and 38th in 200m breast timed final.

Next up for AMAC is the Swim Alberta Summer Provincial Trials on June 27-29 in Medicine Hat.
