Pair of club records set in Lethbridge by Medicine Hat Waves; three medals earned

The Medicine Hat Waves Swim Club sent six swimmers to race in Lethbridge over the weekend.

They reached 13 finals and won three medals over the weekend, with two club records being set. Quinn Baht set a record in the 10-year-old girls’ short course 400m Free and Wesley Henderson set a new record in the nine-year-old girls’ short course 50m Breast and 200m Breast.

Female swimmers

Wesley Henderson (9): Finished second in 100m Breast, third in 50m Breast, fourth in 50m Back, fifth in 50m Free, 100m IM and 100m Free and 42nd in (11 and under) 200m Breast.

Quinn Baht (10): Finished fifth in 100m Fly, 13th in 100m Free, 14th in 100m Back, 17th in 50m Fly, 25th in 50m Back and 32nd in 100m IM and (11 and under) 400m Free.

Avery McDonald (12): Finished 10th in 50 Free, 18th in 100m Free, 21st in 50m Breast, 23rd in 100m Breast, 25th in 200m Breast, 26th in 50m Fly and 33rd in 200m Free.

Male swimmers

Davis Hodel (9): Finished third in 50m Breast, fourth in 100m Breast, sixth in 100m Free, seventh in 100m Back, eighth in 50m Free and 50m Back and 60th in 11 and under 200m Breast.

Oliver Tweten (10): Finished 20th in 100m Breast, 22nd in 50m Breast, 33rd in 50m Back and 50m Free, 38th in 100m IM and 100m Free and 62nd in 11 and under 200m Breast.

Connor Tweten (12): Finished 20th in 200m Breast, 21st in 100m Breast and 200m IM, 22nd in 50m Breast, 23rd in 200m Free, 26th in 400m Free, 34th in 100m Free and 50m Free.
