asmith@medicinehatnews.com Part of the ongoing project to shape the next decade of the County’s Economic Development, Cypress business owners are invited to give their feedback at the coming Investment Attraction Open House. “Cypress county is working with Deloitte Economic Advisory to develop a 10-year investment attraction strategy for the county. This will help the county guide it, ultimately guide how we grow, and what kind of businesses and investments we attract,” said Beth Cash, economic development officer for Cypress County. The goal, says Cash, is to identify both opportunities and challenges the business community is facing, and ensure the business community has a strong voice in shaping that vision. On June 17 from 5-8 p.m., Cypress County business owners, entrepreneurs and stakeholders are invited to the county office to hear Deloitte’s initial findings and give their feedback and insight. “It’s a come-and-go event. We’ll have snacks and refreshments, and it’ll be just an opportunity for our businesses to share that feedback and have their say,” said Cash. Participants will meet the economic development team for Cypress County, as well as the consulting team from Deloitte, find out about the project and what’s been done to date, and then provide their feedback that will help shape the remainder of the project and ultimately shape the next 10 years of investment attraction for Cypress County, says Cash. 8
