Regina senior killed when motorcycle leaves highway near Hays

A motorcyclist from Regina is dead after he left the road and crashed south of Hays, Alta. on Sunday night, the Taber/Vauxhall RCMP detachment has reported.

The accident occurred at about 5:30 p.m. on Sunday evening on Highway 875 south of Range Road 141.

The victim is described as a 70-year-old male from Regina. The investigation is ongoing.

Warrant for $4,000 wire theft

Mounties in Bassano say they have sought a warrant to arrest Adrianna McSavaeny, 24, of Brooks, after a month long investigation into a large theft of copper from an industrial property in April.

RCMP in the town state that they opened the file April 22 and located the wire in late May. A charge of theft under $5,000 was laid May 29.
