Mayor’s legal fee debate delayed for third week

For a third straight week a debate on reimbursing Mayor Linnsie Clark’s legal fees was postponed, but with some notice that the issue is moving forward.

Clark asked in April that $76,000 in costs be remitted after she called for a judicial review of sanctions placed on her by council in early 2024. Clark had delayed the item twice at consecutive meetings, then was absent Tuesday.

Coun. Ramona Robins told council that a promised brief from Clark breaking down the costs was in council’s hands, with one item requiring further information. Robins moved that the entire issue be put onto the June 2 agenda, which was unanimously approved.
