LEO JOHN LEWANS

LEO JOHN LEWANS January 13th, 1930 January 11th, 2025 The family of Leo Lewans announce his passing on January 11th, 2025, two days before his 95th birthday. Leo was born January 13th, 1930, at Gull Lake, Saskatchewan, the fourth child of Michael and Bertha Lewans.
He attended Edmund and Beechmore schools in the Orkney, Saskatchewan area. After completing grade 8, he helped his father on the family farm and in 1946, left to work various jobs in Alberta and British Columbia. In 1952, he settled in Medicine Hat working for Holt trucking developing the Trans Canada Highway. He remained in Medicine Hat working for various trucking companies as well as the City of Medicine Hat until retiring in 1987.
Leo married Doreen Barth in 1953 and had one son, Richard. In 1985, Leo and Doreen were divorced and Leo married Mary Kay Biggs in 1989. In his final years, Leo moved to South Country Village where he enjoyed excellent care and support.
Leo enjoyed camping, travelling, wine making and volunteering time for the Knights of Columbus.
Leo was predeceased by his wife, Mary Kay; siblings, Gertrude, Anna, Mary and Rev. Fr. Bernard Lewans; as well as his son, Richard. He is survived by his sister, Irma Syrenne; brothers, Al and George Lewans; as well as numerous nieces and nephews.

BONNIE LU ANNE NEUFELD 06/24/1954 04/27/2025
Soulmate to the love of her life, her wonderful husband Wayne Pre-deceased by her parents, Bill & Eleanor Sanders, her Son Jason and Granddaughter Lily Survived by and Mother to her sons Jarot and Chad Grandmother to Hope, Zak, Lucas & Jemma Great Grandmother to Lilith Eleanor an amazing Big Sister to Connie, Don, Ronda, Shawn & Lonnie precious Auntie to Hailey, Tyler & Riley, and Joe Great Auntie to Kataleya and a most cherished friend to so many in the US, Canada and around the world. Bonnie put up a valiant albeit short battle with brain cancer and passed away peacefully in her home on Sunday April 27th, surrounded by family and friends. We are truly devastated by the loss of such an amazingly generous, kind & caring, God loving and people loving, special soul.
