newsdesk@medicinehatnews.com Multiple members of the public assisted RCMP in locating 41-year-old Jeffery McLean of Regina, who was wanted after allegedly evading police in a stolen Fort F350. On Sunday, Oyen RCMP responded to a request from the Kindersley RCMP to assist in locating a stolen Ford F350 that had fled from police out of Saskatchewan into Alberta. The stolen Ford F350 was located by Oyen RCMP a short time later travelling on Township Rd. 310. McLean began fleeing police and drove the stolen truck through a field before fleeing on foot. Police say they conducted an extensive search for McLean that involved multiple RCMP detachments as well as Police Dog Services and drones. The following morning, on April 21, Oyen RCMP received reports from multiple members of the public that McLean had been seen in the Esther area. Following another extensive search police located and arrested McLean who has been charged with two counts of possession of property obtained by crime, flight from peace officers, driving while prohibited, operating a motor vehicle without operators licence, operating a motor vehicles without subsisting certificate or registration, driving an uninsured motor vehicle and displaying an unauthorized licence plate. McLean was taken into custody and is scheduled to appear before the court today. 9
