Facility closures, transit schedule and events

Most city facilities will be closed on Friday for the Good Friday statutory holiday but resume typical weekend hours on Saturday. That day the Big Marble Go Centre will offer an underwater egg hunt.

There will be no Medicine Hat transit service on Friday, but the weekend schedules resume Saturday and full service on Monday.

The Medicine Hat Public Library theatre will show Jesus Christ Superstar on Saturday, starting at 2 p.m., and is also providing a children’s scavenger hunt during Easter week throughout the facility.

Later in the week, an Egg Talk, to discuss “unique characteristics birds and reptiles will beheld on Thursday, April 24, from 2-3 p.m. at the Interpretive Centre at PolicePoint.

The city will also once again offer limited amounts of “SureGrow” compost from the municipal composting facility for free to residents on Saturday. Residents are limited to 10 gallons if they bring shovels and their own containers to 1453 Hutchinson Ave. (across from the Kipling St. recycling drop-off station) between 10 a.m. and 3 p.m.
