One sent to hospital following bar brawl in Brooks

One male was transported to the hospital and treated for minor injuries following an altercation outside the Red Sea Ethiopia and Eritrea Restaurant last Saturday morning.

Police responded to a report of an assault outside the restaurant shortly after 3:15 a.m and located a male lying on the ground outside the establishment.

Witnesses told officers two males engaged in a verbal altercation earlier in the evening that escalated when the two males exited the bar and were allegedly assaulted by two others.

Police report surveillance footage corroborates with witness accounts of the attack.

The victim was treated for his injuries as the investigation remains ongoing as officers are working to identify and locate the suspects involved.

Man violates court order prohibiting contact with children

Last Friday RCMP received a report from an employee at the SPEC Association for Children & Families regarding a male who was on the property in violation of a court order not to be within 100 feet of children.

Adil Musa was located by officers and arrested without incident and transported to the Brooks detachment and remained in custody until his court appearance today.

The condition is set as part of his release conditions.
