The Medicine Hat Jr. High Athletic Association was well represented at the South Zones badminton finals over the weekend.
The local association had 12 players and teams finish in the top four at the South Zone Jr. High Athletic Association championships in Lethbridge on Saturday.
U13
Jonathan Gazdig (Irvine) won gold in the boys singles, beating Ethan Mann (St. Mary’s) who took silver.
Gauge McKenzie and Austin Taylor (Irvine) finished third in boys doubles, Michael Fauth and Tytan Kraft (Irvine) finished fourth.
U14
Thomas Funk (Irvine) took bronze in the boys singles, facing off against Eric Titsing (Alexandra) who finished fourth.
Sophie Baht (École les Cyprès) finished fourth in girls singles.
Brody Eresman and Josh Klatt (Irvine) won gold in the boys doubles, Euan Fermin and Kiel Pajarillo (St. Mary’s) finished fourth.
Grady Perrault and Lina Jordet (Irvine) took silver in the mixed doubles.
U16
Ryder Wudrich (St. Mary’s) took silver in the boys singles, Haden Schmidt (Crescent Heights) finished third.
Irvine won the team aggregate banner for 3J schools.
