Whether the Southeast Hill Trail is a longtime favourite or a new discovery, the Medicine Hat Interpretive Program is hoping to bring residents out to fall in love with it, possibly all over again.

“Join an interpreter on Friday, April 25 as we explore one of the scenic views in Medicine Hat! This area overlooks some unique historical locations and has beautiful woodland scenery,” said park interpreter Erika Derman.

The walk will not only cover the trail, said Derman, but talk about some of the history and ecology of the various views along the way.

The walk is, in total, 1.2 km, and some of this will take place over hilly terrain, so those interested in participating are asked to prepare for the level of activity required. The program is free and does not require registration.

The walk will be meeting at the end of 11th Street SE at 3 p.m, and is anticipated to take about an hour.
