JV Colts kick off high school baseball season off with win Tuesday

The Monsignor McCoy Colts JV season opened the spring with a win.

The Colts beat the Brooks Buffalos 15-5 Tuesday in a five-inning game.

James Cole started the game on the mound, notching four strikeouts in three innings of work. He also tallied three hits with two runs scored and two RBIs.

Aaron Recio and Kade Velichko each worked an inning out of the bullpen, both tallying a strikeout.

Ethan Chenard had two hits with two RBIs and a run scored, Reed Hall had three with two runs scored and an RBI and Jace Berner had a pair of hits with a run scored and an RBI.

The Colts have a pair of games Saturday against the Holy Trinity Knights.
