City opens nominations for 2025 Community Spirit Awards

The City of Medicine Hat is looking for nominations for the 2025 Community Spirit Awards.

These awards honour individuals who made a remarkable contribution to the community and have enhanced the quality of living in Medicine Hat through commitment, pursuits or achievements, says the city.

Residents can nominate individuals in seven categories, including arts and culture, sports and recreation, compassion, environment, community inclusion, volunteerism and civic pride. Nominations are also being accepted for the Heart of Medicine Hat and Change Maker awards.

The deadline to submit a nomination form is June 16 at 4:30 p.m. The biennial awards will be presented at a ceremony on Oct. 8 at the Esplanade Arts & Heritage Centre.

Nominees may be residents of Medicine Hat, Redcliff, or Cypress County, however the extraordinary contribution must benefit residents of Medicine Hat. Nominators must be residents of the city, and must have the agreement of the nominee.
