Waves Swim Club sends three swimmers to provincial championships

The Medicine Hat Waves Swim Club raced at the provincial level over the weekend.

The local swim club had three swimmers race at the winter provincial champions hosted in Edmonton.

Their results are as follows:

Sydni Martens (21): achieved five club records in the Girls Long Course Para Open, finishing second in 100m Breast, fourth in 50m Free, fourth in 100m free and 100m Back and raced in the 200m Free.

Kaden Goffinet (16): Finished seventh in 200m Breast (new club record) and 800m Free, eighth in 50m Breast (new club record), 11th in 100m Breast (new club record), 13th in 200m IM, 15th in 50m Back and 200m Free and 19th in 50m Free.

William Miller (16): Raced to a new provincial time with an eighth placed finish in the 400m Free. He also achieved three club records, with a fifth in 800m Free, eighth in 200m Back and ninth in 200m IM. Miller also finished seventh in the 100m Back, eighth in 50m Back and 200m Free, ninth in 200m IM and 11th in 100m Fly.
