What has become weekly protests outside the Brooks-Medicine Hat Constituency Office are continuing this Saturday, and have now attracted out-of-town guests.

Composed of various groups of concerned civilians, residents have gathered outside Premier and MLA Danielle Smith’s local office each Saturday for a number of weeks to protest various aspects of her time in office.

Issues raised have included coal mining, health-care procurement practices, the Alberta Recovery Model and other legislative decisions.

This weekend, Edmonton-Rutherford MLA Jodi Calahoo-Stonehouse will be in attendance. The demonstration will run from 10:30-11:30 a.m.

What is an “NDP” never heard of them. Some sort of a whiners club?

The UCP aren’t a Conservative government at all. Actual Conservatives would say that, and have said so.

The UCP have only carried on with the fiscal ineptitude and poor planning that the Alberta PCs did, ever since Peter Lougheed was no longer premier of Alberta. So far, the UCP have made well over $80 billion in very costly debacles and mistakes, and the UCP have also treated the vulnerable, seniors, medical professionals, teachers, students, rural property owners, the environment, and democracy in Alberta with disdain. What’s so good about that?
