@MedicineHatNews Daylight Saving Time will begin at 2 a.m. on Sunday morning, bringing with it the semi-annual reminder from fire departments to replace smoke alarm batteries. Carbon monoxide detectors should also be attended, according to Medicine Hat Fire Services. Most areas in Canada will see local time advance one hour with the exception of some of Saskatchewan, where for all practical purposes the province will switch from being aligned with Central Time over the winter to Mountain Time during the summer. 5
