Brooks Mounties have asked for public assistance in locating suspects involved in two recent break-and-enter calls.

On Wednesday, police responded to a call at a residence on Charlesworth Crescent. Upon arrival officers determined that a suspect was able to gain entry into the residence sometime between the period of March 3 and 5.

RCMP are also seeking a pair of suspects after receiving a call of a break, enter and theft Thursday at a site near Highway 36 outside Scandia.

Police say two suspects were confronted by a property representative while they attempted to steal wire from the site and fled in a Grey Dodge half-ton truck.

The truck’s licence plate was obscured by red tape, however police say the suspects are described as caucasian, wearing white masks. One of the suspects was wearing a black hat and grey jacket.

Police are asking anyone with information about these two crimes to call the Brooks RCMP complaint line at 403-326-5535.

Wanted person arrested

A Brooks resident was arrested on multiple warrants after the resident was seen by the RCMP’s Crime Reduction Unit in the area on Meadowbrook on Wednesday.

Police say Yuol Bol attempted to flee officers once spotted but was apprehended following a brief foot chase.

Bol is wanted on multiple outstanding warrants including five counts of failure to comply, three counts of possession of stolen property, as well as possession of a controlled substance and failing to attend court.

As a result of Bol’s resistance during the arrest, officers expect more charges will be laid. Bol remains in custody and no details on upcoming court dates have been released.
