asmith@medicinehatnews.com The latest nature walk from the Medicine Hat Interpretive Program invites those curious to get to know one of their more elusive neighbours, the skunk. “Quiet, intriguing and occasionally smelly,” as MHIP describes them, this walk will allow residents to learn more about these curious beats, who share traits with both cats and dogs. “So, what exactly are they? Join us on this nature walk as we delve into these fascinating topics and more,” said Rhys Mah Poy, park interpreter. The walk will cover their diet, habitat and how, exactly, they managed to smell so bad. This walk is free to attend, and requires no registration. Those interested are encouraged to meet at the Nature Centre in Police Point Park at 2 p.m. on March 18, or to call the Nature Centre at 403-529-6225 for more information. 7
