The Rattlers men’s and women’s teams will compete at the Alberta College Athletic Conference championships from March 7-0 hosted by Lakeland College. Both teams were at Olds College for four games over the weekend. The Men’s team beat the Red Deer Polytechnic 5-3 on Feb. 22, before tying the host Broncos 5-5. They split play the next day, falling 9-7 to the Ambrose Lions before beating the SAIT Trojans 6-3. The men’s team finished in first place of the South division with a 6-1-1 record. The Rattlers’ women’s futsal team won three of four games over the same stretch. They beat Red Deer 4-3 on Feb. 22 and topped Olds College 5-2 the same day. On Feb. 23, they beat the Ambrose Lions 2-1, before falling 2-1 to the SAIT Trojans. The Rattlers’ women’s team finished 7-3, good for second in the South. No individual stats were recorded from the fatal matches. Hockey The Rattlers women’s hockey team finished their 2024-25 season on the road with a pair of games against the Lakeland College Rustlers. They lost 8-0 on Friday before falling 6-1 on Saturday. In Friday’s loss, Anna Stewart made 43 saves for the Rattlers. Kiyra Kletzel scored Medicine Hat’s lone goal in the game Saturday, Jessika Charron made 48 saves. The Rattlers finish their season 2-23. 16
