SAHA roundup: SAHA U17 men’s team wins pair of weekend games

The South Alberta Hockey Academy’s U17 men’s team picked up two wins on the road over the weekend.

SAHA opened the weekend with a point, falling 3-2 in overtime Friday to the Prairie Hockey Academy.

Sully Kufflick had a goal and an assist and Kutcher Aquila scored in the OT loss, Hunter Zawislak made 39 saves.

They rebounded with a win Saturday, beating Notre Dame Academy 5-1.

Ryker Klassen and Noah Alexander each had a goal and an assist, Karter Kurpjuweit, Brennan Finke and Dalin Nixon each scored, Matthew Cameron-Skidmore had a pair of assists. Remi Martins made 24 saves.

SAHA finished the weekend with a 5-1 win over the Indigenous Sports Academy.

Finke and Aquila had a goal and an assist each, Liam Green, Aidan Poulin and Alexander each scored, Nixon had a pair of helpers. Martins made 22 saves.

SAHA’s U17 men’s team (16-11-3) have a pair of home games this weekend, hosting the Edge academy on Saturday and Sunday.
