Upcoming deadline for Alberta Innovates summer research opportunities

Health-care research and innovation businesses have until the end of next week to apply for local funding to host a research student throughout the summer.

The Centre for Innovation, known as C4i, at Medicine Hat College is accepting project proposals for Summer Studentship 2025 from faculty, staff and industry partners until Saturday, Feb. 15.

The Alberta Innovates Studentship program offers funding to support students who are looking to study medical health and be involved in science research during a 10-week period in the summer.

Alberta Innovation explains the Studentship program was founded to increase awareness and interest in careers related to research and innovation, particularly in the health sector.

Students participating in the program that runs from May to August are presented opportunities to gain experience as well as connect with potential employers in the provinces health, research and innovation sectors.
