AMAC Swim Club races at Edmonton Provincial Series #3

The Alberta Marlin Aquatic Club raced in Edmonton over the weekend.

The local swim club sent 11 swimmers who qualified for the open-age meet to race against 27 teams from five provinces and territories. The open-age meet, held at the Kinsmen Sports Centre in Edmonton, drew nearly 500 swimmers with youth, high school and club swimmers facing off against one another, including university-level athletes.

Rowynn Biffart (16): Had one new best time, finishing first in 100m fly final, second in 100m fly prelim and 100m freestyle final, fourth in 100m freestyle prelim, 200m IM prelim and 200m IM final, fifth in 50m freestyle prelim and 50m freestyle final, sixth in 50m fly prelim and 200m breaststroke prelim, 10th in 50m breaststroke final and 50m backstroke final, 12th in 50m breaststroke prelim and 13th in 50m backstroke prelim.

Matthew Daley (17): Had four new best times, finishing 39th in 50m breast prelim, 47th in 100m breast prelim, 58th in 50m fly prelim, 73rd in 50m back prelim, 88th in 50m breast prelim and 105th in 100m free prelim.

Westin Endres (17): Had one new best time, finishing 44th in 100m breast prelim, 55th in 50m back prelim, 58th in 100m back prelim, 64th in 50m breast prelim, 75th in 50m fly prelim and 91st in 50m free prelim.

Wyatt Gage (16): Had five new best times, finishing 40th in 50m back prelim, 41st in 100m fly prelim, 44th in 50m fly prelim, 51st in 50m free prelim and 100m free prelim, 64th in 200m free prelim and 70th in 50m breast prelim.

Morgan Hobson (16): Finished 19th in 50m breast final, 21st in 50m breast prelim, 23rd in 200m breast prelim, 25th in 100m breast prelim, 42nd in 100m fly prelim, 52nd in 50m fly prelim, 57th in 100m back prelim, 67th in 100m free prelim, 68th in 50m back prelim and 75th in 50m free prelim.

Caen McWilliams (15): Had five new best times, finishing 10th in 200m back prelim, 11th in 200m back final, 12th in 100m back prelim, 15th in 50m back prelim, 50m back final and 400m free prelim, 24th in 50m fly prelim, 28th in 50m free final, 30th in 50m free prelim and 76th in 50m breast prelim.

Lily McWilliams (14): Had four new best times, finishing 23rd in 50m free prelim, 24th in 50m free final, 26th in 200m IM final, 32nd in 400m free prelim, 36th in 200m free prelim, 38th in 200m IM prelim, 54th in 200m back prelim, 55th in 100m free prelim, 62nd in 50m fly prelim, 64th in 100m back prelim and 70th in 50m back prelim.

Amethyst Millar (17): Finished 48th in 50m breast prelim, 55th in 100m breast prelim, 65th in 50m back prelim and 72nd in 200m back prelim.

Masao Mori (13): Had five new best times, finishing 10th in 400m IM final, 14th in 400m IM prelim, 20th in 400m free final, 30th in 400m free prelim, 41st in 200m free prelim, 46th in 50m fly free prelim and 47th in 100m back prelim.

Aliya Seeley (15): Had one new best time, finishing 23rd in 400m IM prelim, 24th in 400m IM final, 32nd in 800m free timed final, 59th in 200m IM prelim, 78th in 400m free prelim, 86th in 100m back prelim and 93rd in 200m free prelim.

Leo Yonkman (15): Had five new best times, finishing 30th in 50m breast final, 43rd in 200m back prelim, 44th in 50m breast prelim, 59th in 100m back prelim, 74th in 50m fly prelim and 75th in 50m free prelim and 100m free prelim.

The next meet for AMAC is the Maverick Madness Swim meet in Calgary this weekend.
