Upcoming free winter walk planned for Sunday at Police Point Park

A lack of leaves won’t be a problem after residents make their way down to Police Point Park for the Medicine Hat Interpretive Program’s Winter Plant ID Walk.

The Winter Plant ID Walk is a free public program, and registration is not required, as those attending join a park interpreter and learn a variety of practical identification skills while out enjoying the winter landscape.

“We will be meeting outside of the Nature Centre and begin the walk from there. Bring your Plant Identification books if you’ve got them,” said Genevieve Mathieu, Park Interpreter. “The walk will proceed regardless of weather, so dress appropriately!”

Those attending will meet at the Nature Centre on Sunday from 2-3 p.m.
