sports@medicinehatnews.com@MedicineHatNews The South Alberta Hockey Academy’s U17 men’s team picked up a pair of weekend wins to lengthen their win streak. SAHA beat RINK Winnipeg 3-2 on Friday before topping the Calgary International Hockey Academy 4-3 in the shootout Sunday for the fourth-straight win. Liam Green led the offence in Friday’s win with a goal and two assists. Carson Ward and Sully Kufflick each scored as well, Hunter Zawislak made 21 saves. In Sunday’s win, Grady McLeod had a goal and two assists, Kutcher Aquila had a goal and an assist and Aidan Poulin scored as well. He also scored the game winner in the shootout. Zawislak made 41 saves in the win. SAHA’s U17 men’s team (12-10-1) host the Edge academy on Friday before heading to Calgary on Saturday and Sunday for a pair of games against Edge. U18 SAHA’s U18 men’s team had just one game over the weekend, falling 5-2 to the Calgary International Hockey Academy on Saturday. Calgary scored four times in the first period, holding on for the win. Josiah Jackson and Cole Fisher each scored for SAHA, Hunter Zawislak and Mattias Radke split duties in net with a combined 27 saves. SAHA’s U18 men’s team (13-8-4) hosts OHA Edmonton for a pair of games this weekend at the Big Marble Go Centre. 11
