asmith@medicinehatnews.comFollowing the success of their previous offering, the Medicine Hat Interpretive Program is pleased to be bringing back their Wintering Fishes Walk for a second tour.
Participants will meet at Police Point Park in the Nature Center at 2:30 p.m, on Jan. 31, for an hour long walk along the river “as we discuss winter adaptations of aquatic animals, the different species that have been identified in the park, and the threats that their populations face,” said Erika Derman, Park Interpreter.
Those who attend are asked to bring their enthusiasm, expertise about the South Saskatchewan River and their weather-appropriate attire, as the activity will take place outside.
Those interested are encouraged to call the Nature Line at 403-529-6225 or visit the MHIP website at natureline.info.
