The Medicine Hat Cubs picked up a win in a pair of games at home this weekend.
The Cubs beat the Strathmore Wheatland Kings 3-1 on Friday, falling 2-1 Saturday to the Okotoks Bisons.
In Friday’s win, Kyle Woolridge scored twice, Hayden King had a pair of assists and Caleb Garrecht found the back of the net. Adam Ranger made 28 saves.
Against Okotoks, Woolridge scored the lone Cubs’ goal, Adam Ranger stopped 24 shots.
The Cubs (17-7-2) remain in second place in the South division, seven points behind the first place Bisons (21-3-1). They sit a point ahead of the third place Wheatland Kings (17-5-1).
Medicine Hat hosts the Airdrie Thunder on Friday at 7:30 p.m. at the Kinplex for their final game before the holidays.
