The Mustangs hosted the Airdrie Sting for two games of Chinook Calgary League games, the second half of their season. In their first meeting, the Mustangs beat the Sting 12-3. Hannah Thompson led the offence with two goals and five assists. Sophie Kerr had a pair of goals and trio of assists, and both Karly Stennick and Erika Want scored twice. Kasey Martin and Grace Ammann each had a goal and two assists, Mackenzie Tindall tallied a goal and an assist and Ava Allchurch had a solo tally. In the second game Saturday, the Mustangs limited Airdrie with an 11-1 win. Kerr finished the game with eight points, four goals and four assists. Thompson tallied five goals in the win, adding an assist. Allchurch had a goal and three assists. Kyree Stern stood tall in net in both games. The Mustangs travel to Calgary for games on Dec. 22, facing off against the Indus Lightning and Calgary Bow View. U16 The U16 Mustangs won a pair of games on Saturday against Calgary Northwest. They beat Calgary 8-3 in the first game, scoring five goals in the first half. Leighton Wright, Aviana Velichko and Margot Kerr each scored two goals. Ravyn Lehr and Madison Helgeson each scored a solo marker. The Mustangs took zero penalties in the game and were led in net by Emma Pinnell, who made 43 saves. They carried the momentum into the second contest, winning 8-6 after holding Calgary scoreless in the second half. Jayna Allchurch led the offence with four goals, Sloane Berstad and Kerr each had a pair of goals and Wright added a single tally. The goaltender duties were shared, with Pinnell stopping 23 shots in the second half. Sophia Smith was in net during the first half. The U16 Mustangs travel to Calgary for a double header Saturday against Calgary BV. U10 The U10 Step 2 Mustangs had a pair of games against Indus this weekend. They won the first game, 8-6. Laila Loehndorf was in net for the first half, Hudson Kerluke between the pipes in the second half. Nora Dunn scored a hat trick, Gabby O’Reilly and Harper Fuller each scored a pair and Hailee Kopeck scored as well. They tied Indus in the second game, 11-11. The Mustangs flipped goaltenders in the draw, with Kerluke between the pipes in the first half and Loehndorf in the second. O’Reilly tallied a hat trick, Rozlyn Much and Loehndorf each scored a pair of goals and all four of Fuller, Kopeck, Dunn and Ridley Trotter scored. The U10 Step 2 Mustangs are in action Saturday with a pair of games at Lethbridge. Medicine Hat’s U10 Step 1 Mustangs had a pair of games this weekend. They faced Airdrie in the first contest, Thea and Ashley were in net. Adelyn and Harper scored for the Mustangs. The Mustangs faced Indus in the second game, with harper and Teagan in net. Adelyn scored eight times to lead the offence. Kylie had four goals, Ashlee, Addison and Thea each had a pair of goals and Teagon scored as well. (no last names or scores provided) 29
