They kicked things off with a 12-4 win Saturday over the East Kootenay Avalanche. Weston Haslbeck had four goals with an assist, and Raylan Johnson had two goals and three assists. Haysten Biech tallied two with a pair of assists, and Teddy Maser had a goal with three helpers. Barit Bjelland had a goal and an assist and Bently Thares added a solo marker, Blade Schreiner made 33 saves. They carried momentum into a 13-1 drubbing Sunday, beating the Okotoks Oilers. Maser scored five times, Beckham Sprunger had a goal with five assists and Weston Haslbeck had six helpers. Johnson notched a hat trick with an assist, Diesel Bishop had a goal and three assists, both Hudson Gilchrist and Talon Stolz had a goal and an assist and Karter Smith nabbed a solo marker. Dawson Ressler made 23 saves in net. The U13AA Hounds (13-2) sit second in their league with two road games next up. U15 The U15AA South East Athletic Club Tigers picked up a pair of wins, beating the Lethbridge Hurricanes 5-2 on Saturday before blanking the Foothills Bisons 5-0 on Sunday. Maddox Mikkelson and Sylis Robins led the Hounds on Saturday, each tallying a goal and an assist. Beckham Girletz, Liam Jaspers and Shane Mathe all scored and Bryden Tschritter made 22 saves. Hunter Munro stopped all 25 shots he faced Sunday. Everett Ward had a pair of goals and both Girletz and Mathe had a goal and an assist. Maguire Liefso scored a solo marker. The U15AA SEAC Tigers (7-5-0-4) are sixth in the South conference and 16th in the 55-team league. Their next action is Sunday at home against the Airdrie Lightning. The U15AAA SEAC Tigers had a perfect start to December. They beat the Fort Saskatchewan Rangers 7-1 on Friday before winning 4-3 in overtime Sunday over the SPKAC Flyers. Lucas Fisher led the Tigers on Friday with a hat trick and two assists. Carter Gilchrist had two goals and two assists, while both Chase Droeske and Gibson Studer found twine. Paxton Smigelski made 17 saves. Nelson Sonna Soufo scored twice in Sunday’s win, including the overtime winner 2:16 into the extra period. Carter Jarvis had a goal and an assist, Cooper Craven also scored. Jake Druar made 29 saves. The U15AAA SEAC Tigers (6-8) are seventh in the South and host the Calgary Bisons on Friday and the Lethbridge Golden Hawks on Saturday at the Hockey Hounds arena. U16 The U16AA Hounds dropped a pair to the West Central Tigers this weekend. They lost two home games, 6-4 Saturday and 8-2 Sunday. In Saturday’s loss, Caleb Whyte Duheme, Logan Potvin and Gavin Perry each had a goal and an assist. Cole Hodgins also scored, Trenton Wilson made 45 saves. In Sunday’s loss, Creed Geekie and Hodgins found twine for the Hounds, Connor Schmaltz made 36 saves. The U16AA Hounds (0-14) are on the road for one game this weekend. U17 The U17AAA SEAC Tigers fell 6-0 to the Calgary Flames on Saturday. Calgary outshot the Tigers 41-27, Kayden Van Ham made 35 saves in net for Medicine Hat. The U17AAA SEAC Tigers (4-7-1-2) are off until Dec. 13 and 14, on the road. U18 The U18AA Hounds split their weekend on the road, falling 2-1 to the West Central Tigers on Saturday before beating the Bow Valley Timberwolves 4-1 on Sunday. Randen Collier scored the Hounds’ lone goal Saturday, Kayne Wright made 26 saves. In Saturday’s win, Joey Clarke and Nixon Kunkel each had a goal and an assist. Jack Hackett and Parker Kienzle each scored, Kolter Gans made 31 saves. The U18AA Hounds (8-4-0-3) are on the road Friday. 35
