Work to decommission privately owned gas wells on the former ADM Mill site will close lanes of traffic on Spencer Street until early December.
Eastbound lanes of the roadway that connects the intersection of Dunmore Road and Kingsway to Allowance and Maple avenues, will be closed until at least Dec. 6, according to a release from the city municipal works department.
Eastbound motorists will be diverted to the one westbound lane while traffic is expected to remain moving in both directions. Asphalt ramps are in place to help traverse the media.
Similar work was performed last year at the site, now known as the 12Twenty2 project, to close and abandon a well site adjacent to the roadway nearer to Dunmore Road.
Current work was underway last week on some areas of the site and roadway disruptions are expected to last until Dec. 6.
