The women’s and men’s volleyball teams both beat the Concordia University of Edmonton Lightning on Friday at the Snake Pit. MHC’s men’s team won in three sets (25-23, 25-21, 25-23) and the mwomen in four sets (19-25, 25-23, 25-15, 25-16). In the women’s win, Fayth Spencer led the way with nine kills, Kadence Wiggins had eight of her own. For the Rattler men’s, Jordan McKee led the offence with 15 kills. The women (2-5) and men (4-3) are on the road this upcoming weekend, facing the Lakeland College Rustlers on Friday and the Keyano College Huskies on Saturday. Basketball The Rattlers’ men’s and women’s basketball teams also faced Concordia University, taking on the Lightning on the road this weekend. The men lost 89-69 on Friday, with Trey Watson leading the offence with 14 points. Cooper ward had 13 points with nine rebounds. MHC’s women’s team lost 73-65. Breanna O’Connor led the offence with 27 points, while Jordyn Knight had 11 points and eight rebounds. The Rattlers’ men’s (4-3) and women’s (3-4) basketball teams play at the Snake Pit this week, hosting Lakeland College on Friday and Keyano College on Saturday. Hockey The Rattlers’ women’s hockey team played a pair of games on the road against the Red Deer Polytechnic. They lost 5-2 on Friday and 4-3 on Saturday. Rori Dickie and Claira Bansley scored for the Rattlers on Friday, Anna Stewart made 47 saves. On Saturday, Sage Nohr had a pair of goals and Amber Sesak found twine. Jessika Charron made 27 saves. The women’s hockey team (1-9) host Lakeland College for a pair of games this weekend at the Moose Rec Centre, playing at 7 p.m. Friday and 1 p.m. Saturday. 16
