Dwayne Zarichny has been unanimously reappointed by trustees as superintendent of the Medicine Hat Catholic Board of Education, and will serve until 2030 with his new five-year term beginning Aug. 1 of next year.
A motion was made in-camera during the division’s public meeting last week and Zarichny was applauded by trustees following his reappointment.
Zarichny began teaching more than 30 years ago and joined the local Catholic division as the superintendent in July 2019.
Before moving to Medicine Hat, Zarichny served as deputy superintendent with East Central Alberta Catholic Schools in Wainwright.
In 2021, Zarichny graduated with his Doctorate of Education from Western University and received his Masters of Education from Gonzaga University in 2015.
