Individually, team captain Maddie Scrimger led the way in 17th place, second best among all Alberta runners. Ellie Barlow (50th) and Mizuki Iwata (71st) were the next two Rattlers across the line. Aki Iwata (75th), Hannah Ulm (77th) and Addison Weir (94th) were the other MHC finishers.

Breanna O’Connor had 12 points and five rebounds in Friday’s loss. She carried the load as well in Saturday’s win, with 19 points and seven rebounds.

The men (4-2) and women (3-3) are off until Nov. 22 when they’ll face the Concordia University of Edmonton Thunder on the road.

Jordan McKee led the Rattlers with 16 kills in Friday’s win, tallying another 18 in Saturday’s victory. Alexander Baird added 11 kills on Saturday.

The Rattlers women’s team dropped both games on the weekend, falling in three sets to King’s University on Friday (25-14, 27-25, 25-17) and five sets Saturday to Northwestern (20-25, 25-21, 17-25, 25-13, 15-10).
