asmith@medicinehatnews.com Southeastern Alberta’s renowned jazz venue of choice, Blues at the Bow, invites music lovers out for the Out of the Blue – Boots & Buckles show. The breakout event will feature Western Seer Records artists Belle Plaine, Blake Berglund and Lachlan Neville for an evening of original country music as a special addition to this year’s shows, outside the usual season of artists. Plaine is an independent, award-winning songwriter working on her fourth full-length studio album, The Weather, and is known for being just as at home backed by symphony orchestras as she is a honky tonk bar-band. Berglund, a producer, songwriter and Saskatchewan-born artist, has been recognized with nominations and awards by The Western Canadian Music Awards, Saskatchewan Country Music Awards and Independent Musician Awards. Rounding out the three-set show will be Neville, a rapidly-growing artist influenced by Bob Dylan and Bruce Springsteen. BATBOW advises those interested that as the show is outside its usual season, season ticket holders will need to also purchase tickets for this in order to attend. The show will take place Nov. 29 at the Bow Theatre, with doors opening at 7:30 p.m. Tickets can be purchased at bluesatthebow.com or via Eventbrite. 8
