CLIFFORD JACKSTEIT

CLIFFORD JACKSTEIT Clifford Marvin Jacksteit, of Maple Creek, SK formerly of Golden Prairie, SK passed away peacefully at LTC in Maple Creek, Sunday November 3, 2024 at the age of 85 years old. He was predeceased by his wife, Maxine, and will be lovingly remembered by sons, Eldon, Rodney (Tammy), Warren (Roxanna), Stacey (Deanna); grandchildren, Chelsea (Kelly), Jordan (Shay), Ty (Allison), Codee (Lee) Leia (Jordan), Joleigh and Theoren; five great-grandchildren, Hadley and Everly Leismeister, Benjamin and Madelyn Jacksteit and Maizee Anton. Clifford is also survived by his two brothers, Gordon (Lorraine), Milton (Diane) and sister Lynda Riddell (Guy). Sister-in-Law Inez Schuster and brother in laws Wayne (Darlene) and Curtis Arndt. He also leaves behind a special friend, Maryann Friday. He was predeceased by his parents Dan and Bertha Jacksteit, father and mother in-law, Christ and Elsie Arndt, as well as his sisters Ellenore Zeller and Mida Bosley and brother-in-law Norman Arndt, Ernie Zeller and Pat Schuster. Clifford was born on December 3, 1938 in Maple Creek, Saskatchewan. He was raised in the Golden Prairie area. Clifford married Maxine (Arndt) July 22,1960. They moved to the farm 2 miles east of Golden Prairie and resided there for over 60 years. This is where they raised their family, creating many memories. They spent 60 years together on the farm until Maxine’s passing in Oct 2020. Farming was everything to Dad. Clifford then moved into Maple Creek in the spring of 2022. Clifford enjoyed the love of singing. He sang locally in many community events, his greatest love was singing Barbershop Harmony, belonging to the Medicine Hat Barbershop choir. He sang in many different Quartets over the years. A celebration of Clifford’s life will be held on Friday, November 8th at 1:00 pm at the Maple Creek Armories, officiated by Pastor Daryl Martin. SHIRLEY MARSHALL

SHIRLEY MARSHALL January 20, 1947 ~ November 1, 2024
It is with a heavy heart that Ray and Karen announce the passing of their beloved wife and mother, Shirley Victoria Marshall. She passed away at The Wellington in Medicine Hat on Friday, November 1, 2024, at 77 years of age.
Shirley’s memory will be forever cherished in the hearts of her family: husband, Ray; daughter, Karen (Sean) Blewett and their children, Cordelia and Kaden † ; sister, Leona Bourassa as well as numerous nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her parents, John and Cordelia Paul as well as her brothers Bobby, Rudy, Tom and sisters Dolores, Lorraine, Irene and Thomias.
Shirley was a lifelong resident of Medicine Hat, where she was born, raised and later graduated from McCoy High School. On May 13, 1972, Shirley married Ray, embarking on a journey filled with cherished memories. As a devoted homemaker, Shirley poured her heart into caring for her family. She was a dedicated and supportive mother to her daughter, Karen, and took pride in helping support her parents in their later years, showing a deep sense of family loyalty and compassion.
Shirley always had a keen interest in bringing joy, warmth and laughter to those around her. She loved visiting and had a special way of caring for others, always checking in on their well-being. She cherished holiday celebrations, especially Christmas and Halloween, where she delighted in decorating, cooking, and sharing the festive spirit with family and friends.
Shirley’s passion for teaching became a welcoming place for foreign students learning English. Her dedication to her students went beyond the classroom, creating lifelong bonds with many she taught.
A proud grandmother, Shirley loved spending time with her granddaughter, Cordelia. “Grammie” was especially passionate and proud of Cordelia’s dancing, always being there for her at dance competitions to cheer her on.
Shirley’s spirit of kindness, dedication to family, and zest for life will be deeply missed by all who knew her. She leaves behind a legacy of love, treasured friendships, and memories that will be cherished forever.
A Celebration of Shirley’s life will be held at Cook Southland Funeral Chapel, 901 – 13 Street S.W., Medicine Hat on Friday, November 8, 2024, at 2:00 p.m. with Deacon Terry Olson officiating. Interment will follow at Hillside Cemetery with a time of fellowship thereafter in the Cook Southland Reception Facility. Shirley’s Celebration will be live streamed.
