sports@medicinehatnews.com@MedicineHatNews The Medicine Hat Boxing Club sent four fighters to a match in Saskatchewan last week. The local club, represented by Asher Softic, Nate Vossler, Gavin Russell and Tavin Booker, fought at the Rumble in the Valley 111 on the Piapot First Nation, north of Regina. Russell lost what coach Kerry Fahlman says was an unpopular decision to Dryden Platt from Sunshine Boxing in the 44 kg. Jr.B novice. Fahlman thought Russell had dominated the match with the hometown fighter ultimately coming out as the winner. Booker lost to Atrey Chief from Lethbridge in the 60kg. Jr. C novice division. Softic stopped Corson Dosenb from Regina New Line in the second round after giving him three eight counts. His win came in the 86 kg. Jr. C Open division. Vossler battled Jack Senga from Sunshine Boxing in the 60 kg. Open youth division. Fahlman says it was a tough match, with the hometown boxer winning a split decision. 7
