Forty Mile Wind owner makes $145,000 donation to the Medicine Hat Women’s Shelter Society

Just in time for the Holiday Season, ACCIONA Energía representatives met with the Medicine Hat Women’s Shelter Society to present a donation of $145,000.

The funds will go toward the shelter’s capital campaign, and will help to renovate and modernize Phoenix Safe House Emergency Shelter. In 2023-24, MHWSS provided services to more than 1,100 victims of family violence.

ACCIONA Energía made the donation as part of its Social Impact Management Program, which reinvests funds from facilities back into the communities where they operate. Currently, the company owns and operates the Forty Mile Wind project in Bow Island.
